Since our firm was founded we have specialised in the processing of technical plastics like e.g. polyamides or TPEs.
We constantly endeavour to fulfill the demands of our customers and to preserve a high standard by applying the latest injection moulding technologies. By continuous further development of our processes we have grown from a simple injection moulding subcontractor to a competent, reliable and highly efficient supplier of safety components in the automotive industry.
Many years of co-operation with our customers in the spirit of partnership confirm again our high consciousness for quality which never falters while permanently implementing DIN ISO 9001:2000.

A huge part of the success of the recent years is owed to them. Thanks to a well-directed professional and supplementary training they resolutely and single-mindedly fulfill our demands as well as those of our clients.
Gentner GmbH was founded in March 1966 by Walter and Paula Gentner, and Karl Kerling, and then traded as Gentner + Kerling.
The head office was at Veitsaurach Nr.16. 3 years later the firm moved to the new premises at Veitsaurach Nr. 65.
At the end of 1981 the firm’s founders W.u.P. Gentner and Karl Kerling parted, and the present firm Gentner GmbH was created.
Since 1992 the firm has been continued by the second generation, Brigitte Kellner (née. Gentner ) and Klaus Kellner.
During the years 2000 until 2003 part of the firm moved from Veitsaurach to Barthelmesaurach where new premises for production and management were created on a site ca. 14000 square metres in area.
In order to be competitive on the market, a fully automated production of components is an absolute necessity. The clamping forces of our controlled machines are between 25 and 1000t. Modern handling systems take on the removal of the injection-moulded component parts. From a central warehouse with stock-drying facility and material delivery station the granules are transported to the machines.
Advanced manufacturing processes like multi-components injection moulding, mono-sandwich processing, or internal gas pressure technique are used in the production of our technically as well as visually exquisite products.
Especially in the case of safety parts, the process data must be available in relation to the specific parts even years after the production of the components, and this means for us:
Intensive training of ouremployees
Finding the optimal setting of the machines
100 percent recording and storing of the most important process parameters by using a PDA system.
After production and possible surface refinement the component parts are conveyed to assembly which is done e.g. by ultrasound welding, tumbling, laminating or fixing of metal parts in our second plant in Veitsaurach.
Quality is defined in the German standard DIN 55350 as "the totality of characteristics and features of a product or process which facilitate realization of given requirements".
As early as in development, important decisions are made concerning the quality of the future product. Design and make of the injection moulding tool and the subsequent manufacturing process have a persistent influence on quality, too.
By Total Quality Management, already at the beginning the foundation is created for a faultless and smooth manufacture of the product. For that, intensive contact with the client is necessary, for grasping the demands and problems and finding common solutions in dialogue.
Quality can not be established by inspections only; it must be created and developed from the very beginning. In this, DIN ISO 9001:2000 is always our guide.

For a modern and forward-looking firm like Gentner GmbH, a careful treatment of limited resources is a matter of course. Therefore we strive for the Environmental Management Certification DIN ISO 14001.
The Free State of Bavaria appreciates our committment for the environment and thus confered the certificate of UmweltPakt Bayern (Environmental Pact of Bavaria) upon us.
A minor example might be added here. Using the energy that is generated by bringing our tools to the right temperature and by operating the injection moulding machines, we can do without conventional heating methods (oil or gas).. The personnel rooms as well as the administration building are heated with the recovered energy.
